Gualdo del Re, in Suvereto, is a 27 hectare estate led by Barbara Tamburini, growing Vermentino, Sangiovese and Aleatico; visits are by appointment. Its Merlot, I'Rennero, has won numerous national and international awards, the first Italian label to reach the podium of the Mondo Merlot competition for five consecutive vintages, and the estate has a restaurant and rooms to stay.
