About Vinopanorama
Vinopanorama is a guide to visiting wineries across Europe: tastings, cellar tours, opening information, the languages spoken at each estate, and where to book. It covers wineries in 40 countries and is published in eight languages.
Where the information comes from
Nothing on this site is made up. Every fact on a winery page, from opening hours to the year an estate was founded, is stored together with a record of where it came from. When we are not sure about something, it is held back for review instead of being published.
We build on openly licensed data from OpenStreetMap and Wikidata, on photographs published under free licenses on Wikimedia Commons, and on what wineries publish on their own websites. Our crawler, VinopanoramaBot, identifies itself, respects robots.txt and visits politely.
Winery owners can claim their listing and correct or complete it at any time, directly from the winery page.
What the marks mean
Some wineries carry marks such as Sustainable, Heritage or Award-winning. These are credentials backed by verified facts, never editorial favourites, and each mark explains why it was granted. The guide describes every mark and lists the wineries that carry it.
The small wine glass on winery cards shows how complete a profile is: empty, half full or full. It reflects how much information we have gathered, not how good the winery is.
Corrections
If you spot something wrong, we want to know. Use the form on the winery page or contact us. Corrections are reviewed by a person and applied to the published page.
Who is behind it
Vinopanorama is run by a small independent team based in Norway. The company behind the site is named in the legal notice, and the contact page tells you where to write.
