In the 1990s, François Lurton discovered in DO Rueda a terroir and climate capable of producing exceptional grapes, and Campo Elíseo now makes wine under the DO Toro and DO Rueda appellations. It was the first DO Rueda wine to rank among Wine Spectator's 100 best wines in the world, and visits are by appointment.
